Help Haiti

This Sunday there will be a benefit dinner this Sunday (11/2) to raise money for the people of Haiti who were affected by a series of devastating hurricanes this year, including four in the past month. Here are some details:

  • Over 800 people are confirmed dead
  • Over 500 are missing
  • As many as 1 million people are homeless

Maranatha Outreach is collecting donations to help these people and getting ready to send a team to Haiti on November 4th. If you would like to help, come to the benefit dinner at Nona Rosas (113 E. Magnolia – next door to Everyday Music downtown) between 6 and 9 pm. In addition to great food, there will be live music and a silent auction…all for a recommended donation of $15.

If you have any questions, you can contact Ashley Rubalcaba at (360) 560-4140 or by email.

  1. Hello,
what you write is really appealing to me because currently I work as an intern in a non-profit organization called International Action. I found that in your blog you are highlighting those sorts of things that we do. International Action installs chlorine systems in neighborhoods in Port-au-Prince and rural villages in Haiti. You can look at our website and at our YouTube page And if you find this information important, please tell the readers of your blog about us . Through this you will be helping us to solve the problem of contaminated water in Haiti and to improve lives of thousands of people.
    Thank you,
