A Great Run

I called my shot and the Cougs – though they battled mightily in the 1st half – lost to the better team. It was gratifying that we were able to put a bit of the scare into the crowd, but for want of a consistent outside shot we just couldn’t keep up. It’s disappointing, but anyone who’s followed the team knew that beating UNC would have taken the perfect game and last night it wasn’t there.

That said, what a great run, eh? We’ll be back next year for sure and more than ready to add to the Huskies streak of futility against us.

p.s. Was anyone else stunned by the rubber-mask-of-Richard-Nixon visage called Dick Enberg? What on earth happened to that guy?

p.p.s. Memo to network fact-checkers – could you expend a bit more effort in researching the team colors? It’s crimson and grey, not maroon or red. And lest you think it doesn’t matter, see what happens when you talk about the yellow and blue of Michigan or the teal and white of North Carolina.
