    …and we’ll be debating it forever just like they did hundreds of years ago. I’m so glad this isn’t a doctrine that’s a deal breaker. I’m an Arminian and could refute the argument of conditional election as well as Packer argues for the other side but I won’t waste the typing. I believe one day in heaven we’ll see Arminius and Calvin walking together laughing at how much time was wasted arguing this issue.

    c’mon, Scott. I’m glad you stopped by to comment, but if you’re going to write this much you might as well lay out your refutation for our benefit. on what basis are you able to assert that this isn’t a deal breaker (which I take means a central gospel doctrine)? lastly, maybe you know more church history than I do, but I’m not so sure about your chummy vision of Calvin & Arminius.

    at any rate, here’s your chance to enlighten us.
