Kevin Cawley has just posted his review of The Last Eyewitness: The Last Week (Voice) - a recent collaborative effort to produce a fresh translation of the Bible. Headed by Chris Seay of Ecclesia Houston, the contributors include Lauren Winner, Brian McLaren, David Capes, Rob Pepper, and Greg Garrett - you can learn more about the project here. Like Kevin and others, I received a copy this past summer along with the excellent CD Please Don’t Make Us Sing This Song.
To be honest, I haven’t had the time or interest to sit down with it much yet, but what little I have read produced much the same response as Kevin’s.
